dangerous places
where do you think children are most vulnerable to being kidnapped? i think that people dont pay enough attention when they are at home (a lot ofkids run around outside everyday without a parent anywhere around) and only care when theyare in public places like the mall. i think children should be watched more closely while playing outside in the neighborhood, it only takes less than one minute for a car to pull up and grab them. anyone else think so too?

Yes thats true, Kids are really prone to accidents....So I think they should always have guardian when they go somewhere...especially in a place where there is a lot of people...
They should have school service so they could deliver your child safe in there houses.

Well, anywhere you put your kids they should always a guardian so you're 100% sure that they are safe But Sometimes their is always unexpected things to happen so Guardians should always be alert and be sure they are always beside you.
And for kids, just Make the best for them, just teach them what to do when danger is coming.
It's for there own sake

Geographically, I think that kids in larger cities are more likely to be kidnapped. It's not simply a percentage thing and since it's a bigger city the stats show larger numbers, but rather because the cities are so large. For example, there are simply so many opportunities for people/children to be kidnapped in cities such as LA or New York city that it's almost laughable. Almost.

Excelent point, and I agree. I was recently in New York City and young children just walk around wherever, whenever they want. This can be because either the parents don't care or are working or whatever.
I also think that places such as stores and malls are places that place kids more vulnerable to being kidnapped.

I don't know if you directly mentioned this, but one point is accidents... I think that's another topic, but it is vaughly related. Accidents happen, be they true accidents or missing people. Some accidents go undiscovered.

To prevent kidnapping and such it is important for someone to always watch the children. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen because adults have to work or are just lazy.

I think you are right about children being in danger at their homes. Soem other places that are dangerous lately in our town are the elementary schools. Just the other day a man tried to grab a child while he was walking to school. Fortunately, the man only grabbed his backpack and the child was able to get away and run into the school.

After always watching the news as of late, and living in Fl. I think just about every damn day a kid goes missing, It makes me sick to death honestly. Figures all the crazies come to Fl.
Anyway on point, kids are at risk anywhere, but usually at home or close to it because you have a feeling of safety near your home, pedos know this, also the grocery store, playgrounds and school routes.
If you teach your kids signs and how to aide themselves in protection you can almost prevent your child from going missing.
A good way to do this is to know your area, do a search online to see who lives in your area and explain to you kids about this!!!

I think that it is the parents responsibility to be by your child's side 100%. I would never let out daughter go out and play in the yard alone, we live in a farm community and really don't see much in the way of child abductions but I think the minute that you let your guard down that is when you are asking for something terrible to happen.
