Did you run away?
Alright, when I talk to people about children running away, they mention that they themselves ran away as a child. Did any of you do the same? And if you did, were you serious about it? Were you gone for days, weeks, years or simply hours and minutes?
Just looking forward to some fun yet serious, humorous stories.

I was abnormal as a child.
While all my friends were running away and fighting with their parents, I sat at home and slept. Saved my energy that way.

I never really ran away. I'd leave the house for a while when I was mad, but I never had any intention of not coming home. However, I did move out and get an apartment about 1 month after I turned 18 . Also, I considered getting emancipated before that, but I knew the judge wouldn't approve it do to my low income level.

I never ran away. I guess I was just too scared of what would happen if and when my parents caught me....lol. I know a couple of my friends ran away and they had it rough on the streets. I at least knew I was home in a nice warm bed. I did think about it a few times though, but never got up the nerve to do it.

I tried to run away a few times. My mother was very verbally and sometimes physically abusive. I would call my grandmother but she did not want to get involved and have my mom made at her. On the night that I graduated my mom kicked me out and did not come to my graduation, I was only 17 and lived on my own from that point forward.

I threatened to run away a lot, but I never did. I was really too scared. I knew that I would not have a place to stay. My mom told us horrer stories about foster care and she always told us if we ran away and got caught we would get sent to foster care.

Alot like you, I did the same things. I did worry my parents to death as i went on a date that lasted for 4 days. I was not in any harm, just having a really good time in Daytona Beach. I was married by the time I was 18, so never had to run away persay. Now however, some days I feel like running away lol

I never ran away because I was put out on my own at 16. My mother was not equipped to deal with 3 kids so once I had a steady boyfriend she kicked me out and told me to go live with him, that is what I did and now we are married and have a beautiful daughter. Just goes to show that good things can come out of bad situations.

I attempted to run away on a few occasions but my mom never let me. On the rare chance I made it out of the house she always seemed to find me.
