Default How many still missing from Katrina?

Does anyone have any idea how many people are still missing from the areas hit by katrina? I was doign some volunteer work on the net, trying to bring families together who were seperated during the storm, but our site seems to have shut down.

In an article I read in USA Today it seems that there are about 6,664 people that are still missing after Katrina. I think that whole situation could have been handled better and we would not be left here wondering what has happened to these people.

Default missing after Katrina

I live in New Orleans, about 2 1/2 miles from downtown.I keep up on this about Katrina, because doing disaster relief is what first brought me here, but I live here near my mother now.To date there are about adults still missing, and about 1500 children. What is scary,is that when Katrina hit,and people vanished,so did alot of child predators.
