I don't know if you guys recall, but several months ago there was the runaway bride. Not sure where, but I think it was New Mexico or something in that area.

Anyway, she made it out that she was kidnapped and abducted, even calling 911 and saying so. Shen ever was.

What are your opinions on people who do such things? What do you think their motive is?

I think it's stupid and absurd. It's a misuse of the emergency system, and illegal. However, we must realize that this women is under huge amounts of stress and emotion. So, it's no surprise that she'd act irrationally.

I also think that it is stupid to tie up resources that could be used for people that really are in trouble or need help. I think that she should have just come clean and said that she had cold feet instead of staging this whole fasad.

I forget if she was prosecuted? I hope she was and to the full extent of the law, Stupid people like her make me want to throw up, she wasted valueable time and money that could have been better spent on a real missings person.

I hear of a lot of brides running off, but I think if they claim to have been abducted and they weren't, then they should be charged with something like filing a false report or something. It costs resources to look for them, and it is also a cruel joke to play on your family.

This was really stupid and selfish of her, they should throw the book at her and make her an example.Too many real crimes going on for stupid people to fake crimes.

She deserves any legal action taken against her; she panicked many people with her actions. The most despicable thing in this case is that she is getting publicity from media all around the world.
