It would be nice if users could post pics of who the missing person is. Even missing children since the more people see the pics they just might find some. Our town paper just started posting 10 most wanted criminals last week. Within a week 3 were captured. So, if everyone thats looking for an adult or child that is missing posted,it might help with finding some or even one would be worth it.Give it a try.

thts really true amy when you read a story or hear about something like that and it comes with a picture of a face, i think people will remember it better and will be able to identity 'missing' persons when they see one

One thing I don't really understand is how they draw the line. Obviously there are more missing people who where gone/left/taken before that date. So do they not consider this people missing - as in not alive?

What's up with that? How do they draw the line?

Wow! That's surprisingly low, I think so anyway. I thought that there were like hundred's of thousands, maybe even a million people classified as missing. I guess I was sure wrong.

Romi brought up a point I forgot to mention - that IS quite low. 30 - 47 thousand isn't much. What's more, I recall reading that roughly 50,000 children die daily in Africa from starvation.

No one's really concerned about that. Those who say they are usually do little to help. So what's the difference? One black and far away; they're simply not in your country or white?
