Anyone following the Holloway case?

Holloway and 124 fellow graduates of Mountain Brook High School were visiting Aruba on an unofficial senior class graduation trip. She was last seen leaving Carlos’n Charlie’s, a popular tourist-oriented bar and grill, early in the morning with Dutch-born Joran van der Sloot, the then 17-year-old son of an ex-judicial official trainee, and two companions, Surinamese-born brothers, Satish Kalpoe and Deepak Kalpoe in Deepak's car.
Natalee Holloway did not appear for her return flight the next morning, nor did she appear in any security camera footage of the hotel lobby in the course of the night. Her passport, packed bags, and cellular phone were found in her hotel room. Searches of the island began immediately, but have been fruitless to date.

Holloway was to have started her undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama in August 2005.

This is a fairly famous case, is it not? I haven't followed everything about it, but at one point I do believe I read up on it. Anyway, that was a little while back.

It's one of the horror stories that the families dread, but they do happen.

I watched a TV show documentary on this not long ago with a television interview or something of the like. Very irking.

All I can say is that Joran Van Der Sloot looks really guilty to me. He's changed his story again and again and again it's like he is screaming guilt. If he is innocent (and even if he's not, really) he's a fool, at least in my eyes. He's screwed up his life so bad.

I've sort of fallen away from watching this case lately, but I'd like to add that if anyone has any new news source or evidence on this and hear of it, I'd appreciate a PM. I really am still interested in this case.

I know. It's worse than sad, but it's reality.

In a perfect world there wouldn't be kidnappings, rape, murder, sickness or death - but we do not live in a perfect world, and we must accept that. We don't want to overshealter ourselves, but we must be cautions, because we must realize life is precious and can be taken away at a moments notice.

Finally, someone who agrees with me! It seems that every time I discuss this case on Natalee Holloway and Joran Van Der Sloot they take the dang rapist and murderer's side! This guy HAS TO BE GUILTY! Why can't people just see it, arrest him, and be done with it? Grrr...

He's simply changed his story too much.

I agree that it really does seem that Vander Sloot has something to do with Natalie's dissapperance. I feel terrible for her parents. The only thing worse then losing a child is to not know what happened to them. I hope that there will be closure for her family.

I think he is probably guilty too. I think he is getting away with it because his father is a judge on the islands. Unfortunately, that happens a lot in all countries.
